About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Document Review Project Manager to lead complex review engagements, oversee reviewer teams, and serve as the primary liaison between clients and review staff. The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing large-scale document review projects, implementing quality control processes, and communicating efficiently with legal stakeholders.
Licensure Requirement: Must be barred and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Team Leadership
- Manage end-to-end document review projects, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely deliverables.
- Oversee document review teams and drive performance by implementing an established reviewer ranking system based on key performance metrics.
- Provide guidance, support, and strategic direction to reviewers throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Control & Process Management
- Establish and oversee robust quality control (QC) protocols to ensure consistently high-quality work product.
- Review, analyze, and validate reviewer output; identify trends and implement improvements as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance documented systems, workflows, and reporting structures for managing reviews.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact between review staff and the client team.
- Deliver regular status updates, progress reports, and strategic briefings to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Translate reviewer questions into clear, concise, and actionable inquiries for the legal team to support substantive coding decisions.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Must be actively barred and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Previous experience managing document review projects, including reviewer performance metrics and structured documentation systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and oversee QC processes in a document review environment.
- Experience working directly with clients, legal teams, and review staff in a remote setting.
